On September 6, 2018, Sushma Swaraj who is Minister of External Affairs and Nirmala Sitharaman who is Minister of Defence welcomed Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis to India for the inaugural India-U.S. Ministerial 2+2 Dialogue.

               India-US 2+2 Dialogue

India and US have signed the Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA). It the US will facilitate India to obtain critical defence technologies , and access critical communication network to ensure interoperability among the US and the Indian armed forces.  India, US hold 2+2 dialogue concluded in New Delhi.
