The MHT CET (Maharashtra Health and Technical and Common Entrance Test) exam is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is the annual entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. The degree courses are as follows:
- Engineering.
- Pharmacy.
The test is basically a computer based test for admission to the first year of Two-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in Government, University Managed, University Departments in the state of Maharashtra. There are more than 2000 institutes in the state of Maharashtra that use DTE Maharashtra exams. The directorate conducts the admission test to manage enrollment of tens of thousands of engineering students across the state. The main motive and aim of Directorate is to maintain and enhance the quality of technical education by defining policies, developing government institutions, supervising private institutions, interacting with industry and national level institutions, coordinating with other state and national departments and organizations and to contribute to the development of industry society at large.
All the students appearing for any competitive exam or are 12th pass and having Indian nationality can appear for the exam. There is no age limit for appearing in the Maharashtra Health and Technical and Common Entrance Test.
